The competition is promoted by Castle Morpeth Bridge Club, a trophy is presented to the winners and there arre prizes for the first two or three teams. The event is licensed by the EBU and Master Points are awarded. The competition is open to all Newcomers to the game and is listed in the NEBA Programme, however it is not restricted to EBU members nor members of bridge clubs.
